Karen's Solo Album (pics of my CD)

I'm a fan of Karen's solo album. I own the CD and I purchased the mp3 album, as well. I own the New York Solo Sessions, too. :)

Karen's album should have been released and she should have had a solo career like Stevie Nicks. Stevie went solo all the while remaining with Fleetwood Mac. Karen would have remained with Richard all the while embarking on a solo career. I wish they would have been as supportive of Karen as Mick Fleetwood was/is of Stevie. I just think Karen needed to spread her wings and find her own identity.

I love and appreciate all of the songs on this album. Here's "My Body Keeps Changing My Mind". I can't stop listening to it and singing it. I love it. It makes me so happy and I just have to get up and dance. :) :) :)

I absolutely love "All Because of You"! So beautiful. It's one of my favorites.

Karen is so beautiful. Can't say that enough. Love the video.

Here's the link to another Andy Williams/Carpenters video... They sing Ticket to Ride and I'll Never Fall in Love Again. We have to link to it. Embedding was disabled.

Wonderful video.

I purchased Offering LP/Vinyl :)

oops..some of the pics came out a bit crooked. Sorry about that. :)

Thankfully, I didn't have to pay anywhere near $355 like the last auction I watched. This was put up as "buy it now" and I couldn't resist. The album and the cover are in superb condition. The crease on Richard's head on the back cover is from the shrink wrap (yes, it is still in the shrink wrap. Love it.), the back cover itself is in excellent condition.

I love the pictures used for this album. I'm a nature freak, so I love the trees in the background and I love that Karen is holding sunflowers. So pretty-Karen and the flowers. I think I read Karen loved flowers. So do I. The back cover is just precious.

I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Thanks so much to the seller for parting with this amazing album. My three favorite songs are Someday, All of My Life and Eve. The whole album is great. Off to listen to it again. :)

Boston Pops

This was a marvelous concert. Karen and Richard were in top form. Karen is so beautiful and elegant and "That Voice" is gorgeous. The whole concert used to be available on YouTube(that's where I originally discovered it) but it was removed.

Your Navy Presents

I absolutely LOVE hearing Karen on her drums. She's fabulous and her voice, as always, is spot on. The dialogue is hilariously cheesy. You can tell it was scripted, but it was fun all the same. Karen and Richard were too cute. Off to listen to it again. I love it.

ETA: I have Your Navy Presents on CD , but I wanted to search the web to see if it was available online. I stumbled across Carpenters Buried Treasures. Some songs from (a few are missing) Your Navy Presents can be found here...
Join the group and click on Files.
The entire radio show can be found here...
Scroll down to the bottom. Your Navy Presents has been separated into 5 different groups. Join each and you can can downlaod the program. Lots of goodies on Carpenters Buried Treasures.

New Links

I've added two new site links to the links list on the right...Karen Carpenter Magazine and Karen Carpenter Magazine Forum . Rick Henry launched them, yesterday. I love seeing new Karen sites on the web. Thanks Rick! Rick also runs The Carpenters Online, Carpenters Avenue Forum and Karen Carpenter Avenue. All three are listed in my links list.

I've added several YouTube, MySpace and Facebook links to the links lists (3 seperate lists) at the bottom of my blog. Too many to post here. :) Scroll down and enjoy. :)

ETA: I added this photo site.. to the list a while back and forgot to post about it. It's a great site. It has wonderful photos of Karen and Karen & Richard and is updated frequently. I check it often. :)

A Day of Remembrance

Today marks 27 years since Karen's passing and she is so greatly missed. I still cry when I think of her death. Her story helped save my life. I will explain at a later date. Today we honor this beautiful and talented soul. My thoughts and prayers are with Richard. Know that your sister is truly safe and profoundly loved. If we the fans miss Karen so deeply, we can only imagine how much her dear brother misses her. God Bless.

I'm off to listen/watch Karen/Carpenters YouTube videos, listen to Your Navy Presents and to Rainy Days and Mondays. It's raining here today and it looks like it's going to rain all day. A perfect day to ponder things in ones's heart while listening to Karen's exquisite voice.

We love you and miss you, Karen. Always! Rest in Peace and may Perpetual Light shine upon you.
